Description
The mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) is a validated drug target for hypertension and other disease states such as congestive heart failure. The MR assay was constructed by first stably introducing the GeneBlazer® UAS-bla reporter plasmid (containing Zeocin™ resistance) into human embryonic kidney (HEK293T) cells. The GAL4(DBD)-MR(LBD) fusion protein is also expressed under control of the CMV promoter. Expression of this fusion protein was accomplished by the use of homologous recombination and did not require use of MR cDNA.cell line responds to aldosterone and other mineralcorticoids with appropriate sensitivity and rank order potency and to the antagonist spironolactone.
GeneBLAzer® Mineralocorticoid Receptor-Beta-Lactamase HEK293T cells are shipped on dry ice and should bein liquid nitrogen.
