Michael Okimoto, PhD - Chief Content Officer

Mike Okimoto is a co-founder of CompareNetworks and is responsible for the development and implementation of both editorial and data content for the CN verticals. Since 1999 Mike has been closely involved with the evolution of the CN business model and has helped to develop the overall business strategy for the company. His early efforts were focused on the development of product taxonomies and new products to help CN customers reach their target audiences and marketing goals. In his current role, Mike is tasked with managing day to day operations including media fulfillment and deployment as well as customer reporting.

Tamlyn Oliver - Managing Editor

Tamlyn Oliver joined Biocompare in 2017 after almost 20 years on the editorial team at Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News. Prior to that she was managing editor of the Journal of Soil Contamination and director of publications at Amherst Scientific Publishing. With extensive experience in life science media, she will lead content development efforts at Biocompare, working closely with the product directory team, top-notch scientific writers, and industry and academic stakeholders.

Donne Estipona - Senior Content Editor

Since joining Biocompare in 2015, Donne has accumulated a variety of roles, including: product attribute tagging and organization, webpage content writing and editing, and management of the Biocompare Instagram. He has completed a B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology at UC Santa Cruz and an M.S. in microbiology at San Francisco State University, where he focused on biochemistry and proteomics.

Ben Benjamin Atha has over 9 years of experience working in molecular biology laboratories. He received his B.A. in biology from Hood College, and also received his M.S. in biological sciences from Towson University where his thesis focused on protein functions and post-translation modifications. After graduation, Ben began working with next-generation sequencing at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and for the USDA. He now writes for Biocompare and serves as the editor for SEQanswers.
