Immunochemicals are used to study the reactions and components of the immune system, and include growth factors, hormones and their receptors, markers of metabolism, mono- and polyclonal antibodies, and antigens. Applications for immunochemicals include antibody purification, isotyping, and fragmentation. Adjuvants, buffers, kits for assaying and testing antibodies in cells, target biomolecules, and phage display systems are some types of products available to support those applications. Background and off-target effects bedevil research involving antibodies, so the quality and purity of reagents and other products is crucial.
