TNF alpha flow cytometry antibodies are immunological tools used to detect tumour necrosis factor (TNF) alpha, a 17-kDa cytokine encoded by the TNF gene. TNF alpha is mainly produced by activated macrophages, natural killer cells, and T lymphocytes. It acts as a signaling molecule to trigger inflammatory and other immune responses such as fever and apoptosis. It interacts with many cells of the immune system and has been shown to play a role in disease conditions like psoriasis, Alzheimer’s and rheumatoid arthritis.
