Anti-Interleukin 1 beta antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene IL1B in humans. The gene may also be known as IL1 beta, IL-1, and IL-1 beta. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 30.7 kilodaltons in mass. The IL1B marker can be used to identify Megakaryocytes-Erythroid-Mast Cells Progenitors (MEMP).* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
