Anti-IL-1 antibodies can be used for the detection of the protein encoded by the gene IL1B, or interleukin 1 beta in humans. The full-length protein is 30,748 daltons in mass and has been noted to be cytoplasmic and secreted. This protein is a member of the IL-1 family. Antibodies to the IL-1 antigen may be useful for studying cytokine signaling.
