H is an alias for the gene, Fucosyltransferase 1 (H blood group), in humans. Other names include: Galactoside 2-alpha-L-fucosyltransferase 1; Alpha(1,2)FT 1; Blood group H alpha 2-fucosyltransferase; Fucosyltransferase 1; GDP-L-fucose:beta-D-galactoside 2-alpha-L-fucosyltransferase 1; Galactoside 2-alpha-L-fucosyltransferase 1 ; FT 1; galactoside 2-alpha-L-fucosyltransferaseSC; fucosyltransferase 1 (galactoside 2-alpha-L-fucosyltransferase, H blood group). The encoded protein is an enzyme with an amino acid length of 365 and a mass of 41.3 kDa. Other isoforms may exist. H is a member of the Glycosyltransferase 11 family. This gene shares homology with other species, including: Mouse, Rat, Frog.
