Anti-PD-L1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PD-L1 antigen is another term for the human protein CD274 molecule, encoded by the CD274 gene. The protein is known to play an important role in induction and maintenance of immune tolerance to self. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 290 residues and a mass of 33.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is reported to be highly expressed in the heart, skeletal muscle, placenta and lung. The PD-L1 protein is a member of the BTN/MOG protein family.
