Anti-YES1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein YES proto-oncogene 1, Src family tyrosine kinase. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 543 amino acid residues and a mass of 60.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. It is reported to be expressed in the epithelial cells of renal proximal tubules and stomach as well as hematopoietic cells in the bone marrow and spleen in the fetal tissues. A member of the Tyr protein kinase protein family, YES1 is known to be involved with cell differentiation and innate immune responses. Synonyms for this target antigen include P61-YES, Yes, c-yes, tyrosine-protein kinase Yes, YES1 proto-oncogene, Src family tyrosine kinase, and HsT441. YES1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Over 1800 citations in the literature describe the use of Yes1 antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
