CD45RO antibodies are immunological tools used to detect the antigen CD45RO, an isoform of CD45—also known as Leucocyte Common Antigen (LCA) and Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Receptor Type C (PTPRC). This 180-kDa alternatively spliced protein lacks exons 4(A), 5(B), and 6(C) of full-length CD45, which contains 34 exons. CD45RO is expressed in dendritic cells, B cells, and T cells, where it is commonly used as a phenotypic marker. CD45RO antibodies can be used for flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and immunoassays for the characterization of leukocytes. CD45RO antibodies can be used for flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, to identify lymphocyte subsets, and for the investigation of lymphomas.
