Anti-C-C motif chemokine receptor 6 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CCR6 in humans. The gene may also be known as C-C CKR-6, CD196, BN-1, C-C CKR-6, CC-CKR-6, CCR-6, and C-C chemokine receptor type 6. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 42.5 kilodaltons in mass. The CCR6 marker can be used to identify Regulatory T Cells and T Helper 17 Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
