Anti-IL1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the IL1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IL1B gene, which encodes interleukin 1 beta. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and cell to cell signaling, among other biological roles. The human version of IL1 has a canonical amino acid length of 269 residues and a protein mass of 30.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the lysosomes, cytoplasm, and is secreted of cells. Other names for this target antigen include IL1-BETA and IL1F2. Western Blot is the most common application for the IL1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
