Anti-p38 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the p38 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CRK gene, which encodes CRK proto-oncogene, adaptor protein. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and GTPase activation, among other biological roles. The human version of p38 has a canonical amino acid length of 304 residues and a protein mass of 33.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the duodenum and kidney. p38 is a member of the CRK protein family.
