Anti-Histone H2A.X antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Histone H2A.X is a known alias name of the protein H2A.X variant histone, encoded by the H2AX gene in humans. This 143-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in nervous system development and DNA damage pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features ubiquitinated, acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for Histone H2A.X include H2A.X, H2AFX, and histone H2AX. Western Blot is the most common application for the Histone H2A.X antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
