Anti-Transcription factor 7 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene TCF7 in humans. The gene may also be known as TCF-1, T-cell-factor-7, and T-cell-specific transcription factor 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 41.6 kilodaltons in mass. The TCF7 marker can be used to identify Specified Double Negative Thymocytes, Committed Double Negative Thymocytes, and Rearranging Double Negative Thymocytes.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
