Anti-Integrin subunit alpha M antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ITGAM in humans. The gene may also be known as integrin alpha M, CD11b/CD18, Ly-40, MAC1, CD11b, and CR3A. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 127.2 kilodaltons in mass. The ITGAM marker can be used to identify Neutrophils, Dendritic Cells, Mature Eosinophils, Large Intestine Macrophages, and Macrophages.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
