Anti-Interleukin 4 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene IL4 in humans. The gene may also be known as IL-4, BCGF-1, BCGF1, BSF-1, BSF1, B cell growth factor 1, and B_cell stimulatory factor 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 17.5 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
