Anti-IL1 beta antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The IL1 beta antigen is another term for the human protein interleukin 1 beta, encoded by the IL1B gene. The protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and cell to cell signaling, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 269 residues and a mass of 30.7 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the lysosomes, cytoplasm, and is secreted. It is reported to be expressed in activated monocytes/macrophages. The IL1 beta protein is a member of the IL-1 protein family. Other alias names for IL1 beta include IL-1 and IL1F2. Some IL1 beta antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
