Anti-Vinculin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene VCL in humans. The Vinculin protein has an expected mass of 123.8 kDa, but there are 3 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as Metavinculin, MV, CMD1W, CMH15, HEL114, and epididymis luminal protein 114. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
