I use this primary antibody to detect the protein vinculin as a loading control for western blots. It is a higher MW than GAPDH so can be a good alternative when staining for larger proteins.

Results Summary

This antibody is reliable and consistent in staining for vinculin. I use 20 ug of protein and always obtain a strong band with consistent intensity between wells and between gels, allowing for robust normalization of target protein signal. Although I dilute 1:200 to ensure strong signal, this product is also described as being used successfully at 1:1000 in western blots.
