Ready-to-use kits and reagents are available for the purification, isolation, or extraction of DNA and RNA. To narrow down your search, filter by the type of product, nucleic acid, or sample, among others. Visit the supplier page for more information.
The spin column method of isolating DNA or RNA is widely used in many nucleic acid purification kits. A type of solid-phase extraction, the principle relies on nucleic acid binding to a solid surface, such as silica gel. Once the cellular lysate is eluted, addition of buffers with varying conditions, such as in pH or salt concentration, facilitate nucleic acid binding and removal of unwanted particles. Spin-based kits that utilize 96-well plates for centrifugation are also available for DNA extraction workflows that require higher throughputs.
