Anti-DNM1L antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein dynamin 1 like. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 736 amino acid residues and a mass of 81.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, mitochondria, Golgi, and cytoplasm. Up to 9 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Dynamin/Fzo/YdjA protein family, DNM1L is reported to function in mitochondrial and peroxisomal division. Synonyms for this target antigen include DRP1, DVLP, DYMPLE, EMPF, EMPF1, HDYNIV, OPA5, and DLP1. DNM1L gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Over 1100 citations in the literature describe the use of DNM1L antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
