Anti-Snail antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene SNAI1, or 'snail family transcriptional repressor 1' in humans. The 264-amino acid protein is a member of the Snail C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. The cellular localization is predicted to be cytoplasmic and nuclear. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
