Anti-RUNX family transcription factor 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene RUNX2 in humans. The gene may also be known as AML3, CBFA1, CCD, PEBP2aA, Runt-Related Transcription Factor 2, and CBF-alpha-1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 56.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
