Anti-Sirtuin 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SIRT1 in humans. The gene may also be known as Sir2a, SIR2L1, SIR2alpha, NAD-dependent protein deacetylase sirtuin-1, and SIR2-like protein 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 81.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
