Anti-CD66b antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene CEACAM8, or 'carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 8' in humans. The 349-amino acid protein is a member of the Immunoglobulin superfamily, CEA family. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
