Anti-CD19 antibodies are available for the flow cytometric detection of the target protein, 'CD19 molecule'. In humans, the CD19 gene encodes a protein 556 amino acids in length with a mass of 61.1 kDa. Synonyms for this protein include CVID3, B-lymphocyte surface antigen B4 and T-cell surface antigen Leu-12. CD19 orthologs have been reported in the following species: mouse, rat, bovine, canine, chimpanzee, frog, guinea pig, horse, porcine, rabbit, rhesus monkey, sheep. CD19 antibodies can serve as useful tools for identifying populations of immune cells, such as macrophages and B cells, by flow cytometry.
