Antibody to Detect B Cells

CD19 is expressed on all pro-B to mature B cells (during development) and follicular dendritic cells, but not plasma cells; thus it is an excellent marker for mature B cells. Since the expression is robust, the staining was performed on a weak fluorophore. Although the fluorescence as expected was dim, the separation between positive and negative populations was distinct.
