Product Name:

APC/Cy7 anti-mouse CD19 Antibody

Catalog Number:

115530

This antibody was selected as part of a panel studying innate immune responses to RNA viruses. The goal of this work is to determine the ability of the innate immune system to function against viral infection when various innate immune sensors are missing. Spleens from mice infected with a virus for 6 days were harvested and stained for immunophenotyping. This antibody was used to identify B cells in this panel. BioLegend has quality antibodies at reasonable prices which helped motivate our selection of this antibody.

Summary

The Good

Works well. No optimization needed.

The Bad

Have had some variable staining with Brilliant Violet antibodies and samples with low CD19 cell numbers.

The Bottom Line

Excellent antibody for general B cell identification. I recommend testing with Brilliant Violet antibodies if you want to use those together. Also, may be harder to separate positive and negative signal if your sample is highly autofluorescent or has low B cell numbers.
