Ligation Kits

Ligation kits enable the ligation of sticky-end or blunt-end DNA fragments in vitro. These kits, which generally contain all required reagents, can drive fast, convenient, and efficient procedures in cloning, sequencing and other molecular work. Ligation kits will often use a combination of DNA ligase, such as T4 ligase, and a rapid ligation buffer. The required kit may vary depending on the length of fragments to be ligated. The ligated DNA can later be analyzed by gel electrophoresis. Ligation kits can be used for cloning in plasmid vectors or phage vectors, linker ligation, and for recirculation of linear DNA.
