The gene may also be known as MRD21, transcriptional repressor CTCF, and 11 zinc finger transcriptional repressor. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 82.8 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
