Anti-TPX2 microtubule nucleation factor antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene TPX2 in humans. The gene may also be known as DIL-2, C20orf1, C20orf2, DIL2, targeting protein for Xklp2, and TPX2, microtubule-associated protein homolog. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 85.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
