Anti-CREB antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CREB antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CREB1 gene, which encodes cAMP responsive element binding protein 1. This protein is known to function in neuronal development and osteoclast differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of CREB has a canonical amino acid length of 327 residues and a protein mass of 35.1 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. CREB is a member of the BZIP protein family. Some CREB antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
