Anti-Fms related tyrosine kinase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene FLT1 in humans. The gene may also be known as VEGFR1, FLT, FLT-1, VEGFR-1, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1, and fms-like tyrosine kinase 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 150.8 kilodaltons in mass. The FLT1 marker can be used to identify Cerebral Cortex Interneurons, Glomerular Capillary Endothelial Cells, and Endothelial Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
