Anti-Insulin like growth factor 2 receptor antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene IGF2R in humans. The gene may also be known as M6P/IGF2R, CIMPR, CD222, CI-M6PR, M6P-R, and cation-independent mannose-6-phosphate receptor. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 274.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
