Anti-ATP binding cassette subfamily A member 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ABCA1 in humans. The gene may also be known as CERP, ABC-1, ABC1, HDLCQTL13, phospholipid-transporting ATPase ABCA1, and ATP-binding cassette sub-family A member 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 254.3 kilodaltons in mass. The ABCA1 marker can be used to identify Eccentric Medium Spiny Neurons.* Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
