Anti-CD172a antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CD172a is a known alias name of the protein signal regulatory protein alpha, encoded by the SIRPA gene in humans. This 504-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell adhesion and cell migration, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types.
