Anti-DRP1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DRP1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DAPK2 gene, which encodes death associated protein kinase 2. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and intracellular signal transduction, among other biological roles. The human version of DRP1 has a canonical amino acid length of 370 residues and a protein mass of 42.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and cytoplasm of cells. DRP1 is a member of the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family.
