Anti-LIF interleukin 6 family cytokine antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene LIF in humans. The gene may also be known as Leukemia Inhibitory Factor, CDF, MLPLI, DIA, HILDA, and D factor. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 22 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
