Caspase-10 is a cysteine protease that acts as an initiator in Fas-induced apoptosis and death receptor signaling. Caspase-10 mutation is associated with a rare genetic disorder called autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome (ALPS). Inhibitors to caspase-10 are primarily peptide-based and can act directly or often as an inhibitor of caspase activity upstream of caspase-10.
