PPIC ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein peptidylprolyl isomerase C, which is encoded by the PPIC gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported PPIase that catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and may therefore assist protein folding. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 212 residues, a mass of 22.8 kDa, and is a member of the Cyclophilin-type PPIase protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in kidney, skeletal muscle, pancreas, heart, lung, liver and to a lower extent in the brain. Other alias names for this target include peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase C, PPIase C, cyclophilin C, parvulin, rotamase C, and CYPC.
Some PPIC ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 15 ng/L and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
