Anti-CD123 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CD123 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IL3RA gene, which encodes interleukin 3 receptor subunit alpha. This protein is known to function in cytokine-mediated signaling pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of CD123 has a canonical amino acid length of 378 residues and a protein mass of 43.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells. The CD123 marker has been described in the characterization of Basophils, Dendritic Cells, Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cells, and Thymic Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cells.* This target antigen may also be known as IL-3R-alpha.
