Anti-Lymphocyte activating 3 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene LAG3 in humans. The gene may also be known as CD223, Ly66, lymphocyte-activation gene 3, and lymphocyte activation gene 3 protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 57.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
