Anti-TMS1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TMS1 is a known alias name of the protein PYD and CARD domain containing, encoded by the PYCARD gene in humans. This 195-amino acid residue protein is known to function as key mediator in apoptosis and inflammation. It is localized to the nucleus, mitochondria, ER, and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be widely expressed at low levels. Other synonyms for TMS1 include ASC, CARD5, and TMS. A number of TMS1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
