Anti-GP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GP is a known alias name of the protein tenascin C, encoded by the TNC gene in humans. This 2201-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell adhesion and osteoblast differentiation, among other biological processes. It is localized to the extracellular matrix and is secreted of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in fibroblasts.
