Anti-Beclin 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene BECN1 in humans. The Beclin 1 protein has a reported amino acid length of 450 and an expected mass of 51.9 kDa. The protein may also be known as ATG6, beclin 1, autophagy related, VPS30, beclin1, and ATG6 autophagy related 6 homolog. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including yeast, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
