Anti-Calbindin antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Calbindin is a known alias name of the protein calbindin 1, encoded by the CALB1 gene in humans. This 261-amino acid residue protein is a member of the Calbindin protein family. It is reported to be expressed in the kidney, cerebellum, and caudate. The Calbindin marker has been identified in populations of Cerebral Cortex MGE Interneurons, Retina Horizontal Cells, Distal Convoluted Tubule Cells, Type 2 Distal Convoluted Tubule Cells, and Connecting Tubule Cells.* Other synonyms for Calbindin include CALB, CALB, and D-28K.
