Anti-IL-6R antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The IL-6R antigen is another term for the human protein interleukin 6 receptor, encoded by the IL6R gene. The protein is known to be a part of the receptor for interleukin 6. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 468 residues and a mass of 51.5 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and is secreted. The IL-6R protein is a member of the Type I cytokine receptor protein family. Other alias names for IL-6R include CD126, HIES5, and IL-1Ra. Western Blot is the most common application for the IL-6R antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
