Anti-Macrophage stimulating 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MST1 in humans. The gene may also be known as D3F15S2, DNF15S2, HGFL, MSP, hepatocyte growth factor-like protein, and hepatocyte growth factor-like protein homolog. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 80.3 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, yeast, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
