The gene may also be known as CDC48, TERA, p97, transitional endoplasmic reticulum ATPase, and 15S Mg(2+)-ATPase p97 subunit. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 89.3 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
